Roadmap

Hi,

I love html5 Builder.
I am using it since radphp and after several years I still enjoy the IDE / RPCL and the tools which I bought separately from the company Jomitech.
My application is a system for the bookkeeping of knowledge (of educational institutes).
Allthough h5b has some issues, there are many more positive reasons for keeping h5b as my prefered tool for php development.

My questions at embarcadero:
1. Most important: What is the roadmap of h5b?
2. A lot of interesting threads with technical discussions have been removed from the h5b forum . Can these threads be placed back?
3. Can h5b be sold again as a standalone system. As part of radstudio, h5b does not get the attention that it deserves. Furthermore, h5b is a standalone system anyway.

Best regards,

André

Sorry, none available today.

2. A lot of interesting threads with technical discussions have been removed from the h5b forum . Can these threads be placed back?

In recent months we've had technical issues with this system which
resulted in some messages being lost. As you can see, it's nothing
specific to HTML5 Builder. Those messages are gone.

3. Can h5b be sold again as a standalone system. As part of radstudio, h5b does not get the attention that it deserves. Furthermore, h5b is a standalone system anyway.

In my estimation, the only way to know if HTML5 Builder will be sold
standalone in the future would be to have a crystal ball or a time
machine. I can only comment on what we have today.

I concur completely. This product needs to be marketed as a stand alone in its own right. Unless, of course you do not wish to compete with other HTML editors out there. And that would be a shame, as this editor is one of the best, if not the best on the market. Just my opinion.

In the programming environment used outdated PHP and Apache.
Do you plan to upgrade PHP and Apache up to PHP 5.6 version and Apache up to 2.4 version?
I tried to do it, but very much like that need to be updated in the file itself h5b.exe

I do too. I think it is very useful, and could be guided to be as popular as Delphi if given more attention.

I agree fully. While I was showing my book to others, they were really turned on by the RPCL until they saw a $1000 per year price tag. Of course it can't be free but it raises the question:

What would be a fair price for standalone HTML5 Builder? I'd guess $250 to $400. What do others think?

I would still buy the bundle because I need Delphi, but I guarantee a lower entry would bring in more HTML-only developers.
