I installed XE10 (Rad Studio) yesterday, the installation went fine. I installed the Android SDK also.

I run C++ Builder XE10.....

I can load and build the demo programs, but not a single program will run. The form is never displayed, I just get an access violation. This is on my HP Windows 8.1 laptop. On my Windows 7 desktop, the installed demo programs will compile and link fine, but when they run they just close immediately. I never see the form. It's just like I did a BUILD ALL, compiles, links, does nothing.

So I installed on 2 PC's, one laptop, one desktop, and neither will run a single program.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Doug

I copied the memmgr.lib from XE8 to XE10 (same folder, except 17.0 instead of 16.0), and I was able to get the sample programs to work, now I just need all my 3rd party components to get their XE10 updates out!

Thanks!

I think both XE8 & Xe10 as well previous Xe3 version can not properly convert projects from previous versions.
Opening xe8 project under new version of IDE XE10, corrupts directories and is trying to use libs(components) from previous versions.
Good old Builder 6 had option to edit project as a text file, where you could manually correct all that, the new version has "improvements", preventing you from seeing what is corrupted.
I use codeblocks like text editor with XML syntax to search and replace wrong settings. Also this is most of the time case for C++, Delphi seems to be fine even when the dirs are wrong.
For example AsycPro-1.0 will not build properly (even it does build and install new components) using GetIt, since that version has project references to XE7 dirs (15.0) instead 16.0 nor 17.0, for XE10. So without manual correction and rebuild even with subscription update1 you are on your own.
hope this will help others.
