Hi,

I hope this is the right section for this question.
Many moons ago, I used to open PRN as a file and write to it to send data
to a dotmatrix printer.
Modern computers don't seem to have a parallel port, and dotmatrix printers
seem to use the USB port now.
How can I now output data to the printer?

Thanks,

David

Yes, maybe a good old stuff, but, IMHO, isn't a elegant or
maybe neither a not viable solution, for a "ready to use
program" like a label printing app for a, e.g., "zebra"-like
printers, because it forces the user to type "strange
commands" on a dos prompt, eventually logged as an admin, or
"register" a persistent virtual LPT on system which can
conflict with preexistent situations on the system.

bye bye
