Hi

How to get rid of extra window behind the form in the free floating Form Designer,
because as I see it that is just waste of space.

Thanks in advance

What "extra window" are you referring to exactly?

Yea I could have been a bit more specific
I just Installed Berlin 10.1 and compare to CB2009 there now is a window with caption
"Form Designer" that is behind the form, that is being designed. In CB2009 I just had
the form being designed (Form1 in picture).

See picture here:

Thanks for helping

I don't have Berlin installed, but what you describe sounds like how FMX's
Floating Designer works. Up to and including Seattle, FMX did not even support
a Floating Designer at all (only VCL did). The Floating Designer in FMX
is new in Berlin, and it is clearly not a separate window being displayed
behind a floating Form, but rather is the actual Designer window with the
content of the Form being displayed within its client area. What would
be consistent with the Embedded Designer being displayed in a floating container
window, which is probably how it is implemented for FMX (which has always
required the Embedded Designer). The VCL-style Floating Designer, where
the Form is its own independant window, is not used for FMX (and never has
been, before Berlin).

Hi Remy

Thanks for explaining.

This is actually a VCL Form application I'm testing, not an FMX thing.

But I guess that doesn't help me.:(

Then they must have changed the VCL's Floating Designer in Berlin, because
what you describe is not how it works in Seattle.
