Encrypted SQLite db - compatibility with commercial tools

Hi:

I am trying to find a commercial tool that can read an aes 256 encrypted sqlite database created with FireDac. I tried sqlite maestro (version 14) and sqlite studio 3.1.1 and they are not compatible (in any direction).

The FireDac documentation states: "The encrypted database format is not compatible with other similar SQLite encryption extensions." but I was hoping to find a good sql tool (commercial or free) that is compatible with FireDac.

Thanks

Yes, it is. FireDAC SQLite driver encryption is proprietary solution.
Really, there is no SQLite standard encryption mechanism.

But there are some 3d party SQLite DLL's, which do support encryption,
and other tools may use them to read / write SQLite encrypted DB.
For example: https://www.zetetic.net/sqlcipher/

Thank you for confirming this. I guess databases can always be decrypted with one tool and encrypted back with another tool.
