Hi!

I have Firebase 3.0 installed on my machine and I am trying to connect to a database firebird version 2.1 using IBExpert but I am getting this error message :

wrong or obsolete version
unsupported on-disk structure for file <path of the file >;found 11.1,support 12.0.

How can I fix this and access my firebird database?

thank you

Hello,

that's about the DB file format version.
One thing which might work is to do a backup of this and then a restore
in a new file (or overwriting your db file). It should upgrade file
version then.

First of all thank you for your answer but I need to have access to both version because I am developing another application that uses FB 3.0 and this new application that is already running that is 2.1 version.

1. as far as I remember a newer server still supports the old ODS
structure version.

2. you might have more luck getting an answer if you posted this
question to an apropriate group on this server! One about databases
and not the one about "non-technical" aspects!

Greetings
