In previous version of VCL (Borland 5.5, a long time ago), it seems the TCheckListBox had a different behavior than the newer versions.

Like the actual version, pressing a character will scroll and select the item with the starting letter.
Pressing a series of character will select the appropriate item.

However, the older version had a different behavior when pressing the same character.
By pressing the same character that was previously pressed, the next item with the same starting character would be selected.
This logic would not work if you selected a character that was before the actual selection.

Pressing C while being on an item starting with E would do nothing.
With the selection on the first row, pressing E would select the first element starting with E.
A second press of E would select the second item and so on....

Can this behavior be back in XE7 version? or at least reproduced?
Does anyone know in which version was it removed?

Thanks,
EricG

A similar behavior is available in ListView while in List mode.
You can cycle through item selection when selecting the first character.

Should this be a bug that the behavior is missing from the TCheckListBox?
