I keep getting the following error when MediaPlayer1 opens the first time:

"Project MusicalTerms.exe raised exception class $C0000096 with message 'privileged instruction at 0x08c725fe'."

The error occurs three times (with different exception classes and different instruction addresses) when MediaPlayer1->Open() is run the first time. After the first time the code is run, MediaPlayer1 runs normally and there are no more error messages.

The following code is in the form constructor:

	MediaPlayer1->Notify = true;
	MediaPlayer1->AutoRewind = false;

This is the code that plays an mp3 file:

		MediaPlayer1->Close();
		MediaPlayer1->FileName = MusTerms[TermIndex].Path;
		MediaPlayer1->Open();
		MediaPlayer1->EndPos = MediaPlayer1->TrackLength[1];
		if (cbAudio->Checked)
			MediaPlayer1->Play();

Why am I getting the above error message and how can I correct it?

Earl,

When you post, it's helpful if you specify:

- What version of Builder you're using

- Whether you're using FireMonkey or VCL

- What operating system and version you're working on, e.g., Windows 7
